My Experience as a Photographer 📸

In February 2025, I had the opportunity to work with the Birmingham City Council Events Team as an official photographer at the British Athletics Indoor Championships, held at the Utilita Arena Birmingham.

I worked alongside a talented team of photographers, covering all areas of the event — from the intensity of the track events to behind-the-scenes moments. My role involved a mix of external coverage for public engagement and internal documentation for the council and organizers.

This event really pushed and developed my skills. Working in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment meant I had to make quick decisions, stay adaptable, and tell a clear story through every image I captured.
It taught me a lot about event logistics, working around fast-moving athletes, respecting the competition space, and capturing powerful moments under pressure.

It was an amazing experience that made me even more passionate about sports photography — combining action, emotion, and storytelling into one frame. Being part of a prestigious national event like this was something I’m proud of.
